Living an Artful and Mindful Sheltering in Place

April 21, 2020

The times are challenging us in all new ways. This is a time of unprecedented virtual visiting and learning. Of safe space and social distancing.

This year has already been surreal for me, for longer than Covid-19 has been front and center. My mother, Dianne Kronika, passed away in January 2020. My experience of her final illness and the grief of her loss is tempered by the knowledge that she fought to live and suffered much before, and now she is at peace.

Following the whirling cycle of paperwork, settling the routine of days was difficult. So much of my family dynamic is changed. The ones that fill much of my time are my father, brothers and their families, and the extended clan. But previously, it was paired with traveling art.

Recently, I submitted work for a gallery newsletter to virtually present the works of the Artists of Dancing Krow Gallery, in Oak Park, IL. See the newsletter.

I am finalizing some new lessons and techniques, including offering some new virtual class options. Downloadable pdfs will be available on the Digital Learning page. Examples include: Loon on Nest, in watercolor, now available in pdfs 1 & 2.
